Messages:

Mr. Budzak taught me, my brother Jamie, and my sister Sheridawn at Nickel District in Sudbury. Our condolences in his passing. Sheridawn became a teacher and then a math consultant for the school district, so he must have had a positive influence!

Rest in Peace my friend and former colleague. We extend our condolences to Sharron and family.

ED, was exemplary , citizen, charitable, always kind and ready to assist. GOD BLESS your wife and family, much loved, vi

So sorry to hear of your dear Ed's passing. Love and prayers to you and your family from old friends

Mr. Budzak taught me grades 8-9 at St. John Bosco many years ago and he still stands out as one of my favourite teachers. His dry humour jokes and amazing intellect and, in my opinion, perfectly straight-forward way of teaching will always stand out to me. The last followed me throughout my schooling career and even into my short dip into teaching where his wisdom was passed on. An intelligent and pious man always who delighted to hear how his old students were coming along. May he rest in peace. God have mercy on his soul and assist his family through this trial.

Praying for you all ! May he rest in peace!

Ed will rest in peace. He did earn it. I was a student of Ed's in 1974 at Nickel District SS. He was more than a math teacher. In his own way, he taught students that they were important and their daily issues were important. If a student was causing a distraction, Ed would stop the math class, engage the student, take a genuine interested in the issue, include the complete class and resolve the issue seamlessly returning to teaching math with everyone's undivided attention. I had an similar experience having noticed Ed's engineering ring appearing to cut into his finger. He as a big man then. After his dissertation on engineering rings to the class, I decided to become an engineer. Forty-six years later, I am still practicing engineering. Thank you Mr. Budzak.

Condolences Sharron and family. He may be gone but the memories last forever. Tom Galloway
