Carol Ann Kelm (nee Commance)

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our dear mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend, Carol Kelm, of Drumheller, Alberta on Friday, August 28, 2020 at the age of 66 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her former husband, Myron Kelm of 30 years; children, Annette and Vince Lukawiecki and Elena, Deiter, Kaylee and Brayanna, Shane and Jacqueline Kelm, and Kaden, Rhys and Anne-Marie, Cody and Kim Kelm and Cache; sister, Wanda Commance; and brother, Ray Commance; niece, Michelle Commance and Kevin Murray and Violet and Lydia. She will be dearly missed by her close family members, Sherwin and Janice Kelm; and numerous extended family, friends and co-workers.
Carol was born and raised in Drumheller and was pre-deceased by her parents, Ray and Violet Commance.
Carol has had an extensive career in hairdressing for 48 years. Her dedication and passion for others has developed lifelong friendships amongst her coworkers and members of the community.
Her endless love for her pets, gardens and family was always demonstrated by her passion of cooking and hosting family gatherings. Carol cherished her time spent with her Grandchildren and was well known as “Nana” or “Nanzie” with the “infamous snack drawer.”
As circumstances dictate and as per Carol’s wishes, there will be no Funeral Service held. However, we cherish the thought that all family and friends will recall a fond memory, smile and make a toast in her honour!

My deepest sympathies. Auntie Carole was such a wonderful person, and I am so lucky to count her amongst the people who loved me. She was full of so much optimism and life, but never shied away from a great joke. She always welcomed my sister and I into her home when we visited as if we were her own, which looking back was such a wonderful gift of how to be. I remember all the Boxing Days at Uncle Ray and Auntie Vi's around the Rummoli table, itching to play with the grown ups. Summer, camping out at ball tournaments and Auntie always having a some bread dough and broom handles in her trailer for us kids to bake our own bread over the fire. So much fun was had. Mostly, I remember how deeply she loved and was loved, and she will be forever missed from this world.
You will be missed. My memory of you Carol is you remind me of your mom kind and a great heart ❤️ you always make us feel at home . The best thing was your beautiful laugh , when you laughed I could not help but laugh with you that’s how special Your laugh is. Love you Rest In Peace .
Carol was my hairdresser when I lived in Drumheller. We had such a fun time while she cut my hair; she always had something happening!! She loved talking about her family, especially the grandchildren. My heartfelt condolences to her family. RIP Carol, you will be missed.
