I was always struck by Faye’s unstinting assistance to her special friend Maxine who passed away only a few months ago. When they went shopping together Faye had a knack for knowing whether Maxine really wanted an item, but still was hesitant about whether to buy. Faye invariably knew when to put her finger on the decision scale to make her friend happy. As they linked arms and left the store you might expect them to start belting out a chorus of I Am Woman. There is no doubt that, if there are discount malls in Heaven no matter how well disguised, these two will find them, but you will know for sure if you are able to hear in the distance, “Yes, I’ve paid the price ,but look how much I’ve gained ; if I have to, I can do anything. I am strong. I am invincible.” They were all that and more.
You will be greatly missed Faye.. always loved when we got to visit you and Dan. You were a great cousin to us in our family. Love ❤️ jim and anne
Dear Daniel and family, We are so very sorry to hear of Faye’s passing. She remains one of our favourite people - so much fun, interesting, knowledgeable, and well-read. Thank you for publishing her amazing biography, highlighting her zest for family, life, and learning. We send you hugs and prayers. Sandra and Dianne Post
Faye has been a dear friend since the day we met. To know her was to love her; she was kind, loving, gentle, thoughtful, a caring friend and a wonderful wife and mother, as anyone could see who spent time with her. She will live in our hearts with so many happy memories of times together. Fly Free, my friend!

My aunt, Patsy Hough, forwarded the news of Faye's passing along to me this morning. My mother was Eleanor Hough-Cole, daughter to Maude Henderson-Hough. I am remembering wonderful times at Aunt Grace's home and how lovely both Faye and Denise were - twins - as I had twin sisters it was kind of a novelty at the time. I just talked with my sister, Joanie, to advise her and also to express my astonishment that Faye lived in Oakville at the same time as I, my Aunt Elaine and Aunt Ev did - as I did not remember her being there. To all my extended family out west, my sincere condolences on the passing of Faye. Marsha (Mardi) Cole
