Barbara Lynne Van Oosten

Barbara passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2020 at the age of 62 years old.
Barb was born in Vancouver, B.C on July 9, 1957. She grew up in Grand Forks/Christina Lake and then moved to Didsbury around 1983 where she raised her family and enjoyed a successful career at the Didsbury Hospital for 30 years. She retired in Big River Saskatchewan, Delaronde Lake where she spent her days in her dream cabin. She loved to fish on the lake and spent her days around many loving friends.
Barb was predeceased by her parents. Angus & Doreen Haines.
Barb was the most loving, devoted and supportive mother and leaves behind 3 beautiful daughters,
Amy (Shaun) Waite, Laura (Stu) Boyle and Jessica (Justin) Van Oosten. She was one of the most kind, caring and thoughtful grandmothers to 5 wonderful grandchildren, Mackenzie (Mathew), Jakob, Emma, Owen & Alex; and 4 great-grandchildren, Aisha, Izabelle, Keira & Ivy.
She also leaves behind her sister, Debbie (Joe); her brother, Paul; her husband, Billy; and ex-husband, Gerry, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, 105 - 5241 46th St., Olds, Alberta on Saturday, February 1, 2020 @ 2:00 PM with refreshments to follow.
Your Smile, laughter and the beauty within your heart will be greatly missed. We love you MOM.
