Leslie Clarence Woods
August 5th, 2020
Leslie passed away peacefully at Skypointe Hospice after a lengthy illness.
Leslie grew up as one of 9 children in Calgary, attending Queen Elizabeth High School and playing baseball whenever possible. He moved to Ontario where he took up a trade in sheet metal, working for Don Mills Sheet Metal for many years. He returned to Calgary in 2008 and worked at Alggin until 2015 when he retired. Les enjoyed listening to CBC, watching Jeopardy, doing crossword puzzles and playing pool. He will be greatly missed for his quick wit, vast knowledge of trivia and his laughter.
He is lovingly remembered by his common-law wife of 11 years, Loreen Jensen; and his sisters, Hollis Gogal (Lorne) and Janis Maleski (Clayton); as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Ernie & Ialeen Woods; his brothers, Gerry, Douglas and Donald; as well as his sisters, Vivian Roman, Linda Pfiefer and Diane Purdy.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. At Leslie’s request there will be no formal service.

All who loved and knew him will remember his laughter and his joy in life. Thinking of him reminds me of the song, "I did it my way". Rest in peace my unique brother in-law.
