McNEILL, Ross
August 14, 1948 – March 11, 2021
Ross (Ervin) McNeill, age 72, of Shamrock, Saskatchewan, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 11, 2021, surrounded with love and devotion by his wife and children, after succumbing to a massive stroke. Ross enjoyed his life as a welder, creatively and pridefully carrying on the trade just as his father had before him. It would be with proud admiration for Ross to know that the shop and local hangout will continue with his oldest son, Jason McNeill. Ross, unapologetically, lived his life to the fullest. He did well in his pursuit to live in a meaningful way, rarely venturing outside of his beloved town of Beiseker. He was generous with his time for things he loved, his wife, his family, his friends, his horses, entertaining, creating, fixing, and the simplicity of enjoying a Pilsner…or two. Not much for the materialistic aspects of life, Ross lived simply. He did, however, leave behind a wealth of stories, and memories…treasures for those that knew him even in the slightest way. Ross is lovingly remembered by his wife of 19 years, Bobbie McNeill, married on September 7, 2002; son, Jason McNeill; daughter, Trista (Marc) Dauvin; son, Aarin (Dana) McNeill; stepdaughters, Brandi Gordon, Robyn Gordon, Beverley Davis; and stepson, Chad (Anna) Gordon. Also lovingly remembered, like a father, by granddaughter, Natalia Davis; grandchildren, Barrett and Lane McNeill; Austin, Brooke and Cassidy Dauvin; Ivy and Ian McNeill; Dalton Gordon and Shyla Morin; Liam (Dowler), Jorgia (Dowler), Mackenzie, Chase, Alice and Miller Gordon; and Alejandra Aldrich. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Until We Meet Again
We think about you always,
We talk about you still,
You have never been forgotten,
And you never will.
We hold you close within our hearts,
And there you will remain,
To walk and guide us through our lives,
Until we meet again.
