MILLER, Clifford Paul

Dec 19, 1947 – Oct 23, 2021

Clifford Paul Miller was born in Turner Valley, Alberta on December 19,1947. On Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 73 years of age, he quickly and peacefully passed away from failing health in the Calgary Foothills Hospital.

Cliff’s life was actually spilt into halves, life before and life after a series of aneurysms. The first half of his life he was a friendly, hardworking family man with a wife and 3 children.

He was the youngest person to ever fly solo at the Red Deer/Penhold airport, a skilled mechanic that could change out a car motor in 3.5 hours, and a station manager at Drayton Valley for the family-owned company Safety Boss.

After many operations which left Cliff brain injured, he worked 19 years for Olymel in Red Deer thanks to the friendship, guidance and supervision of Jim Kenney. After a stroke Cliff was moved to Calgary and Aomega5 became his home and extended family for 9 years. We would like to thank the management and staff at Aomega5 for their ongoing support and understanding of working with people with disabilities. The world is not always kind to the disabled and challenged.

Cliff’s final home was in the Brentwood Care Centre and the staff on St. Andrew’s West unit and care team saw and worked so patiently and attentively with the sweet, polite, gentleman that Cliff became. His personal companion Eden gave us all joy and she was Cliff’s personal angel. We sincerely thank you.

Cliff is lovingly remembered by his children, Dean Miller, Candace Miller (Jay Gallant) Bradley Miller; 7 grandchildren, Jackson, Sydnie, Marlee, Dallas, Makayla, Lila and Eliot; his brother, Michael (Sharie); and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. Cliff is preceded in death by his sisters, Sharon (Ted) Glazier and Susan Badick; niece, Carla Badick; and nephew, Mark Badick.

Whenever you see any type of vehicle drive by, think Cliff. He could always talk about any motor for any length of time and would usually respond with “Who Me” and “Deadly True”.

Messages:

What a lovely and loving tribute to your brother Cliff. His life was not an easy one and he survived a lot of hardship. Much love to the family from Brenda and Saify.
