Harley James Winborn

Harley James Winborn passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the age of 73 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary; his two sons, David and Matthew; as well his relatives, Church family and close friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Dorothy Winborn; his brother, Timothy Winborn; and his sister, Laurie May Winborn.
Harley loved the Bible, theology, teaching, science, math, and had a deep personal relationship with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Harley was also an avid photographer and nature lover, and will be remembered for his calm, kind, humble and caring personality.
Special thanks go to those who helped Harley at his work and for his appointments he needed to attend during the years he was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at the Grace Baptist Church in Airdrie.

Most unexpectedly a few days ago, I was just reminiscing about helping Mrs. Winborn who was the cook at Galilean Bible, Camp at Blind River, Ontario for the Canadian Sunday School Camp in the 1980’s. I remember her son, Harley who was a camper while she was there. She was a lovely lady and I went down from Sault Ste. Marie to be her helper. I just picked up my iPod to see if I could find any news about that family - to find Harley’s death notice. Sending belated condolences. My deepest condolences to you all. I had the honour of working with Harley who was an amazing and patient teacher. His photography was a window into how he saw the world. I am blessed to have known him and will hold his memory in my heart forever.
My deepest condolences to Mary and David and Mathew. Harley was a very sweet kind and wonderful man. I knew Harley from him driving the bus in Airdrie. Was always such a pleasure riding the bus when he was on. Used to tell me about his adventures when out Taking pictures of the wilderness and the different thing he see. May he Rest in Peace.
It is with sadness that we heard of the passing of Harley. We were privileged to know Harley and Mary and some of their journey on this earth. Other than some connection with Harley's theological teaching, we also followed his nature photos with great interest. We send our sympathies to Mary, Matthew and David. May God especially care and provide for you at this difficult time. We also thank God for the Ministry he gave Harley, and how well he carried it out until he was promoted to glory. "Well done, thou good and faithful servant".
Mary, we are saddened by Harley's passing, and will miss him dearly. I always enjoyed my conversations with Harley and his warm greetings. His photographs are breath taking and each one is a small reflection of how he viewed the beauty of our world. Take care, and know that we are praying for you and your family.
My deepest Sympathy for your loss of Husband and Father. I held Harley as a Father of Grace Baptist Church. I was so Blest by Harley many times when I headed up Grace Men's Group And called on Him many times to do the devotion message for Saturday's Breakfast. I will miss his presents at Grace.
