It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Rob) Vincent Cadwell, at home on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the age of 52 years. Rob will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Bobbie, as well as many extended family and friends including his brother from another mother, Darryl Salvucci. Rob was predeceased by his mother, Madalene; father, Don; and sister, Michelle.
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, with a few childhood years spent in Fort McMurray, Rob graduated from Forest Lawn High School, moved to Spruce Grove and quickly transitioned into a life as a successful businessman and entrepreneur. He built and operated a trucking business for more than 23 years where he spent most of his hours on the open road seeing things that most people never will. Following that, he started up an equipment rental business in Airdrie, AB, the community he and Bobbie made their home for the past five years.
Growing up, Rob was a respected athlete in both volleyball and baseball. You can even find his name at the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame in Red Deer, AB if you stop for a visit. Rob had a love of vehicles from an early age and owned more than 50 of his own over the years, from motorcycles to sports cars to ‘big trucks’, as he so lovingly referred to his semi trucks. Rob had an excellent sense of humour, incredible wit, loved to chit-chat and made friends wherever he went. If you met him once, you never forgot him. His big heart and bright smile will be missed by many.
Fittingly, Rob’s last few months were filled with love and visits with family and friends from near and far, and if you stopped in for a visit at their home, it was rare to find Rob and Bobbie alone. During those visits, there were lots of wonderful memories, stories, laughs, and of course, tears.
As Rob never wanted to be the centre of attention, his wishes to not have a Funeral Service will be honoured. However, we would love to celebrate Rob’s life with as many people as possible at a future date. Details of the celebration of Rob’s life will follow.

Rob was an amazing man. One of the strongest men I know, he went through more battles then most people do and still always had a smile on his face. My heart goes out to Bobbie, and his family who stayed with him to the very end.

Dear Bobbie I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m Pamela’s mom. Rob you left us all too soon. I remember you and your dad putting running boards on my (one of many) vehicles. You were so caring to everyone, You were always there for me if I needed anything. You were very much like your dad. I will miss you very much. Love you Rob.
Rob was such a wonderful man and will never be forgotten.

Rob was a great man and always had time to chat with Mike and I at the "gas station" in Spruce Grove..He loved trucking and had many stories to tell....he was always cheerful and loved life....he will be missed

Even though we all knew his time with us was short, Rob’s passing still is hard to fathom. Our hearts go out to you, Bobbie, and if you need a shoulder, a laugh, a hug, or anything at all please know that we are here in any way you need. Our Rob & his grin will be sorely missed…
So sorry to here of Rob’s passing. We knew each other for many years. We both lost our parents all close together. Our Dad’s knew each other and worked together back around time we were born. We both followed our fathers into trucking. Rob had a “ never give up trying” attitude till the very end. Gone way too soon.
You taught me to throw a baseball, and we shared many miles on bike or in a vehicle...we even put a few on driving an imaginary semi listening to trucking songs. Rest in peace big brother...
So very sorry to hear of Rob passing ..he certainly made a difference in many lives ..his passion for life won’t be forgotten ..he battled the enemy cancer as a true warrior ..❤️

RIP Rob, thank you for the gift of your time and will keep you in my heart right next to your Mom, You were a great person and you will be missed by many people from your world, I best remember you spending time with my kids when they were little and you were the only babysitter that they would listen to, I knew that my kids were safe and cared for when they were with you. And how you cared for your parents till the end, My heart goes out to your wife and extended family, you will be remembered
