In loving memory of Ken Green who passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022 at the age of 80 years.
He is lovingly remembered by his brothers, Carl Green; sister-in-law, Sharon Green; former wife, Arlene Harche; his son, Robert Green; his daughter, Aimee Robinson; grandchildren, Eric, Taylor Rose and Meishka; and great-grandchildren, Izadora, Emma, Drake, Aria; and niece, Susan Pelletier; amongst many younger nieces and nephews.
Ken was born on August 23, 1941 in Maple Ontario— a small rural village at that time which has now been absorbed by Vaughn Ontario as part of the Greater Toronto Area. He was the 4th born of 5 children from the marriage of George Green and Bertha Steckley. He now joins them in the everlasting life of Christ along with his brothers, Art, Bob and Jim and his sister, Mary.
He moved to Calgary in 1974 whereby he continued to live and raise his family. He was a very proud westerner. Ken’s career was very involved which was performed working dutifully for the Bank of Nova Scotia as a branch manager at several bank branches. He continued to help many persons with bookkeeping after his retirement. He was well known for his playful demeanour and joyful sense of humour. He was immensely kind and generous amongst all who were fortunate to know him. He was instrumental and dedicated in the raising and the welfare of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ken was lovingly dedicated to the service of Jesus Christ. Although his health had not permitted him to attend church in his last years, he maintained his faith unwaveringly.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Calgary East Church of the Nazarene on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 10:30 AM.
