Ruth passed away suddenly in the early hours of Monday, January 24, 2022 at the age of 86 years, from a brain bleed due to metastatic breast cancer.
Ruth is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tanice; son and daughter-in-law, Perry and Judy; grandchildren, Laura (Matthew) and Warren (Lisa); great-grandson, Ryker; and son-in-law, Scott Chisholm. Ruth was predeceased by Willis, her husband of 63 years; and daughter, Tammie.
Ruth was an incredible cook, baker, bread maker and made the best donuts! Ruth was also an avid quilter and belonged to two quilting groups the DeWinton Q-Bees and Chinook Country Quilters. We all have beautiful quilts she spent many hours hand-quilting with love, which are cherished heirlooms.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

I am a member of the Dewinton Q-Bees & spent many happy times with Ruth. She & I undertook an embroidery Barn quilt & shared tips & tricks. It was fun. Ruth will be sadly missed by many.
Ruth was a very special lady who I had the pleasure of meeting. I loved driving her to Dewinton for our weekly quilt session. My thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.
Ruth will be missed at our Dewinton group. She always had some kind of joke! So sorry to loose your mom, she was a beautiful person. I’m glad I got to know her for a short time. Rest well Ruth.
