Messages:

I met Howard many years ago when I worked as an office cleaner at Tony’s Electric. Whenever our paths crossed we would talk about our faith in god. Howard gave me many words of encouragement during that time. The words that I hold most dear is when he told me “Maria, do your best and god will do the rest”. I have shared these words with my children, grandchildren and all those who come to me for comfort. I am forever grateful for Howard’s wisdom. My deepest condolences to wife, children, grandchildren and loved ones. May he Rest In Peace

Dear Betty-Ann, Rod, Gwen and families, Sending you our deepest condolences. Sorry we could not be at the service but we were able to view the live stream. We have many fond memories of our times together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Jim and Nancy Christie

One of the best men to walk this earth.... will leave such a big void. We were always thrilled to hear Uncle Howard and Aunt Betty-Ann were coming to visit! Although may miles separated us, we made sure to enjoy every minute of every visit. We are grateful our kids got to know him.. he made each one of us feel very special. His faith was always present and it is comforting knowing he's been reunited with his brothers. "Well done good & faithful servant" ❤

A light has gone out of our lives, but now he shines in Glory! Dearest Betty Ann, God be with you 'till we all meet at Jesus' feet!

Howard was such a lovely loving gentleman who made me smile a lot. I have very fond memories of you Howard with my daughters that I will treasure forever. My sincere condolences go out to Betty Ann and the family as I know there will forever be a big whole in your family xxx

We share the sadness that Betty Ann and Howard's family are feeling at this difficult time. My favourite times playing golf with the Reitze family and friends were when I got to play with Howard. Although we didn't know him as well as many others did, we will miss him. Our condolences to all who loved him. Happy Trails Howard, Lyle and Lynette Walton

My heartfelt condolences to Betty Ann and all the family. Howard and I worked together in the early 60's we worked hard but laughed even harder. He was a bright light and a breath of fresh air. RIP Howard - AUF WIEDERSEHEN Hilda Armstrong (aka Ryckman) and family

Our sincerest condolences to Betty Ann and family. Howard was always the one EVERYONE in all branches looked up to and respected. I never new him not to have a smile and heartfelt cheerful greeting for everyone. I also remember his wonderful voice when performing with his Barbershop Quartet. It was also reassuring to have someone like him as part of the larger family

Thinking of you in your sorrow, we share in your loss Heide and Gerhard

Howard was the heart of the family who was loved by everyone. His presence was key in everyday life especially for Betty Ann. The whole family will miss Howard’s smile but his legacy will live on. He will always be near, still loved and still missed and very dear.

Connie and I are heart broken. Uncle Howard was one of a kind. We will miss his smile, his humour, his hugs and his booming voice. I’m sure there’s a party going on in heaven now that the brothers are back together. His faith was so strong that it makes his passing a little less painful knowing he’s with God and loved ones that went before. That being said, he will be missed. I am and will always be proud to have his name. Lyle HOWARD Rietze

We Love you all! Our deepest condolences and yet, Joy, and Peace, through the Resurrection power of our Lord Jesus Christ. May his peace that passes all understanding be with you all.
