Margaret Gordean Groggertt Stair born on October 6, 1949 in Turner Valley, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary, Alberta on Friday, February 18, 2022 at the age of 72.
A wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a friend to many. Margaret was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. Over the years she collected a large library of cookbooks.
Margaret's greatest gifts were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always supported them in all that they participated in for sports or fundraising programs. Margaret always made time for everyone. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting, she always had projects on the go and often gave them away to anyone in need of warm mitts, slippers, hats, scarves or afghans. Margaret also enjoyed, over the last few years, volunteering at the Thrift Shop in Sundre, Alberta.
Margaret is lovingly remembered by her husband, Allan Stair of Cremona Alberta; children, Tammy (Dale), Teresa (Keith), Dawn (Jamie), John (Michelle) and Bradley (Holly); grandchildren, John (Miranda), Dalaura (Brandon), Dustin (Paige), Brendan, Corbin, Quintin, Madison, and Rozlyn; and her great-grandchildren, Issac and Claire; siblings, John (Sue), Flora, Reg, Margie and Helen. She will be missed dearly by many, mostly her best friends, Carol and Diane.
Margaret was predeceased by her father, Bill (Smoky) Groggertt; mother, Nellie; and step-father, Robert Barker; sister, Mary; and brothers, Walter and Donald.
Margaret always lived life to the fullest and now has her angel wings.
In honor of Margaret's wishes, there will be no public Service and a small intimate gathering to be held at a later date.
