After a lengthy battle with cancer, Mrs. Carol Louise Stull of Carstairs passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 at the age of 67 with her family by her side.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend, Wayne Stull; sister, Bev Yurkiw; daughters, Tracy Palmquist and Vanessa (Jason) May; daughter-in-law, Connie Palmquist; step children, Kevin Stull and Marcie Stull; 8 grandchildren and 1 nephew. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Mervin and Eileen Christensen; son, Joseph Palmquist; and grandson, Benjamin Tillapaugh.

Carol was born in Claresholm and raised in Fort McMurray. She started a family at a young age and re-located to Edmonton to raise her family and start a career, eventually settling in Carstairs with her loving husband Wayne.  Carol worked in the insurance industry and had a very successful, fulfilling and lengthy career, becoming a mentor to many colleagues in Edmonton and Calgary. Carol was well-respected and loved by her friends, leaving many to mourn her loss.

Carol was an avid golfer and explored many courses across North America with Wayne. Carol loved to travel and spend time with her husband and her family. Carol enjoyed crocheting with her sister Bev, playing cards, and having a competitive game of Yahtzee. She was an independent, kind, gentle and compassionate wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. Carol could always be counted on to find the good in others and to offer a smile or laugh. Carol will be mourned by many and never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Carol's memory may be made to the Candian Cancer Society, 200 - 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 2P5.

Our thoughts are with her friends and family

My sympathy to the family. I am a cousin to Eileen and so knew Carol when they were in Claresholm. Met her at her parents 50th Anniversary and was happy for that.

Our deepest sympathies and condolences to your and your family. We have fond memories of Carol and the fun times in Carstairs.

I met Carol working at TD Insurance. She was so fun and full of life talking about family and friends, memories. The stories she told stuck with you. Truly will be missed but I learned so much from her, she will stay with my heart and I am sure in the hearts of others who she met.

So sorry to hear of Carol's passing. I only met Carol once or twice in person when she came to Peterborough but we enjoyed several lengthy phone calls which were definately not about work! She was a very fun kind soul. Rest in peace Carol. Happy heavenly golfing!

Sending condolences to the family of the courageous woman. I was a colleague from the TD family. I will remember a wonderful lady with a beautiful spirit. RIP Carol.

My thoughts and prayers to Carol’s family and loved ones. She had a significant impact in my career when I began working in the industry 25 years ago. I will always respect her as a colleague and as a friend. Rest In Peace Carol.

Ive known Carol 42 years and worked with her most of that time. She was strong through so much adversity and incredibly, she was able to move forward and keep positive. She was a hard worker, and very reliable. Even though we worked hard, we also had many adventures, pranks, and fun! Carol, I am hoping you are now in the loving arms of your son Joe and grandson Ben, and fully at peace and pain free. To your family, I wish you all peace and healing ❤️
