She is remembered fondly by sister-in-law, Nellie Freeman; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Frank Johnson; sister, Lois Strang; grandson, Daniel Scott

Yvonne treasured her role as a grandmother and great grandmother. Everyone loved Grandma’s pickled carrots, potato salad, fried chicken and shortbread cookies. Frances Yvonne Sullivan was born June 12,1935, to Duane and Evelyn Johnson of Pine Lake Alberta.

Yvonne lived by the Golden Rule and was known for her kindness. She lived with the enduring faith that God’s hand is in everything. She had a twinkle in her eye, a quick wit and knew laughter and music were good medicine. Yvonne and Vic enjoyed traveling. In the pre-GPS days, Yvonne was the navigator and keeper of the maps and lodging details. The maps were always immaculately folded and organized. She believed in a place for everything and everything in it’s place. As a career woman and homemaker this philosophy served her well. Her love of gardening and her beautiful flowers brought immense joy. Vic always teased her about no more room for plants but she took pride in her garden and showpiece flower pots, particularly the petunias. She was an accomplished book-keeper and the administrative and accounting arm of their business’s, including their many years as co-owners of Didsbury Cartage before expanding horizons with new adventures in Bonnyville, Fort McMurray and Camrose. Yvonne had an entrepreneurial spirit and operated her successful nail salon, esthetics and Fifth Ave Jewelry business in Camrose before she and Vic semi-retired and returned to the Didsbury-Olds area. Yvonne and Vic were avid golfers and enjoyed many rounds on a variety of courses. She had a wicked good putting game, her drives were straight and true and a fine example of the way she lived her life. Keep your eye on the ball, give it your best shot and you can always find your way out of the rough if you just stay calm and focus on your goal.

The family expresses our deepest appreciation to Dr. Chapman and the dedicated staff of the Sundre Seniors Supportive Living Facility.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Stars www.stars.ca OR Box 170, 1441 Aviation Park NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 8M7.

A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.

Messages:

My deepest sympathies Vic on the passing of Yvonne. You were a very loyal husband right to the end.

My deepest condolences to you Vic and your family. Loved having you both for neighbours in Fort McMurray enjoying each other’s company. My Vic passed in 2018 so maybe they are having a glass of cheer way up there! Hugs to you all.
