Bill Urschel
January 18th, 2017
We celebrate the life of Bill Urschel knowing he is free from suffering. He is remembered and cherished by his wife, Beverly, daughter, Chantel, son-in-law, Jason (who was like a son to Bill), grandson, Bowin and all those who knew him. We honour his memory by sharing his love, compassion and devotion through our lives.
Bill’s greatest joys were his family, work, the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Montreal Canadiens. He was loyal, hardworking, funny and had an infectious personality. He spent his last few months with his buddy Bowin who lit up his life. He was the happiest he had ever been.
All are invited to attend a Celebration of Bill’s Life on Monday, January. 30, 2017 at 3:00 pm at the Abbotsford Pentecostal Assembly, 3145 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford, BC, with lunch to follow.
Fond memories or messages of condolence may be shared at the family’s On-line guest book.
Messages:
It was our privilege to have known Bill. Although our lives had taken us in different directions and we no longer could share visits our memories of wonderful times past won't fade. It is hard when you realize someone like Bill has left us too soon. We live in the hope of better things and trust that he is in Gods care. It is pleasant to imagine he is in a heavenly man cave awaiting another Rider victory. God speed Bill
I will always have fond memories of Bill. He was so good at giving me a hard time and getting a rise out of me. Love and hugs always.
Sending condolences to your family. May the memories you have of Bill help you thru this time of grief. We fondly remember how supportive he was at synchro competitions. Take care Danny and Brenda
Sorry to have missed the service. I am blessed to have got a chance to get to know Bill as an adult, as a child I recall being a bit intimidated at times, and looking back I had no reason to be. He was always kind and understanding, easy to strike up a conversation with. I recall walking through the sea of chicks with Bill and Chantel and to this day I have an odd appreciation for the smell of a chicken farm. Bill you are greatly missed, but you live on in our hearts.
Sorry I missed your service. It was my pleasure to call you my friend .
My deepest sympathies to Bev and her family. Praying for you during this difficult time. May God sustain you always. Psalm 23. Valerie Dyck
Sending our deepest sympathies. We pray that in the midst of your sorrow you find comfort in all the joyful memories shared and may the comfort of God help you through this difficult time.
So sorry to learn of Bill's death. I always thought so highly of him. His physical heart wasn't strong but his real "heart" definitely was. I admired his honesty and his openness, and his desire to do good things for others. It was a privilege to have been on Council with him. My deepest sympathy to you and to your family.
I am so sorry for your loss. Bill was always 'Billy' to me growing up. His generous laughter, sense of humour and passion has carried him through his life and touched many. I've enjoyed viewing pictures on FB allowing me to peek in his life in recent years enjoying his family and especially his little grandson. Thank you. He will be missed. A donation will be made in lieu of flowers to "Sew on Fire Ministry" which provides gift bags and many needed supplies to the needy around the world.
