Judith (Judy) Elaine Ginter

With great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Judith (Judy) Ginter (Nee McLeod) on May 19, 2022. Judy passed peacefully with her loving daughter Allison, granddaughter Mikayla & niece Meghan at her side.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children - Suzanne Ritchie (Colin), Allison Claydon (Steve), Dean Ginter (Delinah) & Wendy Mader (Jon); Grandchildren - Ian, Zachary, Mikayla, Nathan, Kaleb, Mia, Violet, Chris & Geoff (Britanny), Great granddaughter Kensington; Brother - Jack McLeod (Karen); Niece Meghan Hanon and Nephew Michael McLeod. Judy will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends.
Judy was predeceased in February 2022 by her loving husband of 54 years Ralph; her parents John (Jock) & Edna McLeod (Nee Fandrey), brothers Robert (Bob) & Terry.
Judy was born on July 14, 1947 to John & Edna (nee Fandrey) McLeod in Vancouver BC and raised in Quesnel BC (Bouchie Lake); later returning to Vancouver BC where she met her loving husband and they raised their family. Later residing in Surrey, BC and recently of Abbotsford, BC.
Judy met her husband Ralph while working as a hairdresser on Fraser St in Vancouver. She later worked at Woodword’s in the Oakridge Mall, Delta Credit Union and retired from Envision Credit Union.
Judy was active for many years in a number of ladies programs at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Vancouver.
Judy had a passion for baking, canning and making her “Judy’s Cranberry Jalapeno Jelly”. She enjoyed camping in Osoyoos and at Derby Reach; going on many cruises; and spending time with her children and grandchildren playing games. She offered a warm smile, kindness and love to all those who were fortunate to know her.
A celebration of life will be held at the Derby Reach Marpole Picnic Shelter on Saturday July 16, 2022 at 12pm. Please bring a lawn chair.
