Marge Henry

HENRY, Marjorie Bertha (Marge) (nee McKeen), on December 16, 2022, in Abbotsford, British Columbia with her daughters by her side. Predeceased by her parents and her five siblings, her husband of 47 years, Robert Chester (1986) and a daughter, Bonnie, (1967). Marge was the loving mother of Doug (Lynn), Terri Johnston (Paul) and Lori Kelly (Sean). She was much loved by her 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
 
Marge was a woman whose life centred around faith, family, and food/fellowship. After putting her faith in Jesus Christ, Marge attended and served in a variety of capacities in the Presbyterian Church in several communities, including Calvin Presbyterian in the last many years in Abbotsford.
 
Marge loved and was loved by her family and friends. Get-togethers were important to her - in Ontario, Manitoba, and BC. When she could no longer travel to visit, family and friends came to her. The kettle was always on, and Marge loved nothing better than having people in for a meal or even just for coffee and a visit. On her ninetieth birthday, she said she thought she would like to live to 100 - Marge was 102 at the time of her death. 
 
The family would like to thank all the staff at Mayfair Senior Living and Care in Abbotsford for the wonderful care they took of her these past few years.  Marge built loving relationships with the nurses and care aides and other staff where she lived on 2-South; a tribute both to them and to her.

A celebration of Marge’s life will be held in the spring.
