Gordon (Gord) Lenard Waterhouse
March 12th, 1943, to October 24th, 2022
Peacefully on Oct 24th at Evergreen Terraces surrounded by Gereth and Lisa. Beloved husband of Gereth and devoted Stepfather to Lisa McCaskill (Grant Blanden). Dear brother to Norman (Margaret) and sister Sheila Mulligan. He will also be missed by nieces Terri (Jim) and Kim and nephew Michael.
Gord was born and grew up in Burford, Ontario. He went to Burford High School and Ryerson University completing an accounting degree and had a long career at Trailmobile Canada Ltd in Brantford until he and Gereth moved west to British Columbia in 1991, where he started his own accounting business. After many years living in different areas of the lower mainland and Parksville, Vancouver Island, the last few have been spent in South Surrey. Gord was kind, unassuming with a gentle soul and an unexpected dry sense of humour. He had a love of photography, taking professional wedding photos for many. Out west, he enjoyed golf, cards and playing pickle ball on Vancouver Island. Gord and Gereth have travelled extensively and valued the many friendships they have made with people all over the world.
We are very thankful to the 3rd floor staff of Evergreen Terraces, White Rock for the care given to Gord over the last 2 ½ years and during in his last days. A Celebration of Life is to follow at a later date. For online condolences, please visit www.myalternatives.ca
In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Gord to the SPCA, or Alzheimer society would be appreciated.
