Our world as we know it stopped on November 21, 2023 at 10:06 a.m.
Our hearts have been broken by the loss of our beloved mother who passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
Rosamond Adams, age 99
June 1 1924 - November 21, 2023
Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan
Predeceased by her husband Arnold Adams and her daughter Margaret (Peggy) as well as many of her brothers and sisters.
Survived by her sister Marlene Shein and sister in law Louise Butler.
Mom is also survived by her 9 children,
Glen, Gwen, Randy, Sandie (Kerry), Leslie (Doug, deceased) Linda, Elaine (Rob, deceased) Diane (Don), Debbie.
Mom was the proud grandmother of 21 grandchildren, equally proud of her 35 great grandchildren.
Mom was a stay at home mother, always cooking and cleaning making sure we were all happy.
Mom always reminded us that she was blessed to have had a long and fulfilled life ,surrounded by all of us that loved her. She enjoyed the casino and loved her vodka and 7- up which always put a smile on her face. At gatherings Mom’s trait was to put her empty glass on her head, we all knew what it meant, it was time for another one…just one more please! Mom’s desire was just four simple things from her family, a visit, a hug, a call, and the words, "I love you!”
Material things were not important to her, all that mattered to her was that the people in her life were happy and healthy.
Mom left a note for us expressing her wishes for us :
To my daughters and sons…
When you are lonely I wish you love,
When you are sad I wish you joy,
When you are discouraged I wish you beauty,
When you are troubled I wish you peace.

When we lose someone as special as a mother or a grandmother we are just not ourselves, nor should we be. We are broken and bereaved and need time to mend, we know you are at peace now mom and grandma and watching over us. For us that brings us comfort while we walk through this hardship. Waves of sorrow will come and go through the rest of our lives, we need time, more than we know. Mom, Grandma, you are the most beautiful memory we all have locked in our hearts.
Mom and Grandma, if every single person that loved you in your lifetime, were to light up on a map, it would create the most glittering beautiful network you could imagine. Throw in the strangers you have been kind to, the people you made laugh, or inspired along the way and that star bright network of you would be an impressive sight to behold. You were so much more than you think you were to us; you have done so much more than you realize for us. You have left your family a trail of a very bright pathway to follow. Thank you for being a blessing in our lives.
We love you Mom and Grandma and will miss you more than you know. Mom didn’t like goodbyes, her saying was: “so long for now”

Growing up in Nelson I never really got to know Aunty Mondy. But when I did see her she always made me feel comfortable and welcome. She will definitely be missed. RIP Aunty.
I am so sorry to hear of Aunty Mondy’s passing. Truly a gift to live such a long life and to have a large loving family. I remember being on a trip and she taught me empty glass on the head trick where it would miraculously be filled. Gotta try that again and hopefully
Condolences to the Adams Clan. We remember her for her calm and composed presence and sense of humour among all those kids! Maybe we should all drink vodka and 7-up, she will be missed.
When I think of Mondy it will always be with warmth in my heart. She would always be smiling and her kindness showed through. What a lovely lady and how much she loved her family was obvious in her manner. My deepest sorrow goes out to the family.
Aunty Mondy moved to Vancouver's Davie street with her sisters and mom after the war. Mom told me they'd get dressed up and practice walking down the street in the big city (decades before Davie was a prostitution strip, and yes, family jokes ensued). They also curled their eyelashes with Vaseline, pressed with a butter knife. Badass! Mondy lived a good, long life, lucid, aware, and remarkably free from hospital care till the very end, with her family there. Lucky❤️ Condolences to the Adams' sorry I can't attend the funeral
It is with great sorrow to hear of this .Your where a mother in law and a mother figure for a short time in my life but I have always had great respect and fond memories of you Rest In Peace you are with Ernie again and will be remembered by many and to all my old family members my deepest condolences.
Mondy and I were partners on the holidays we went on as Bill and Arnold (uncle) were the drivers. We always had a great time, we needed a van as there were 8 of us and luggage. I’m with Diane, hope they are having a party!

No prayers can take away the pain we feel for our loss. I will miss our daily phone conversations that we shared, your crazy little giggles, with it always ending with, say hi to Kerry and I love you.. You will be missed so very much, you have no idea. I always enjoyed the beautiful smile in all the Facebook pictures when surrounded with her family. I never met you but heard from your girls what a beautiful mother you were. My deepest condolences Diane, Elaine and family.

aunty Mondy…..you were always a special person in our lives….we spent all our Christmases with your family (along with Aunty Louise and Uncle Vic and kids) when we were young. LOTS AND LOTS of memories.
So sad to think you're gone Mondy. We have very fond memories of you and Ernie when we lived in Willowbrook. You were always fun to be with. I'm so glad I got to visit with you in October. Farewell my dear friend and our condolences to all of the family. Penny and Bob
