Wanda Webb
June 28th, 2018
Born and raised on the beautiful prairies of Saskatchewan, Wanda (aka. Ma, Mom, Wandy) passed away peacefully in hospice at Peace Arch Hospital on the morning of June 28th, 2018, after a 5-year battle with cancer. Wanda reunites with her father, Grandpa Ed Miller, Uncle Walter Smith and many other loving friends and family.
Wanda moved to the lower mainland at the age of 18 with the love of her life, James (Jim) Webb, where they settled down and raised two amazing children of their own. Wanda was the definition of committed in all that she did, both personally and professionally. Wanda’s career at TransLink spanned 33 years where she started in the call center and worked her way up to senior management roles.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years James (Jim), her daughter Shawna White (Webb), her son-in-law Christian White, her son Colin Webb, daughter-in-law Karen Wighton, Kate Wighton (Karen’s sister), brothers Mark and Wade Miller (Melody Miller), her mother Dorothy Miller, three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Wanda lived for her family never missing a hockey game, swim meet or dance recital. She will be remembered by all as a gracious, caring, loving and tender-hearted angel. Wanda’s zest for life was only rivalled by the love she had for her grandchildren who will remember her forever as “Ma” (short for Grandma), the sneaker of treats, the giver of bedtime snuggles and provider of absolute unconditional love.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence for the family.
