Raymond Tony Zazzara
October 8th, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce that Raymond Tony Zazzara passed away peacefully at Langley Hospice on October 8th at the age of 74 with his family by his side.
Raymond was born in 1946 in New Westminster. He will be lovingly remembered by his partner Paulette, son Graham (Michelle), brothers Wayne & Pete (Tracy), sister Christine, grandchildren, nephews & extended family and friends.
After graduating high school, Ray pursued a career in engineering as a draftsman for 40+ years. He worked on many projects in the Vancouver area and all over the world. For many years he volunteered with Scouts Canada where he met some of his dearest friends. He also was an avid soccer fan and helped coach Grahams soccer team for over 5 years. His favorite team was Manchester United. Glory Glory Man United!
Ray was known for his humor, big laugh, free spirit and of course stubbornness. He enjoyed reading and travelling to Italy and spending time with family and friends.
Ray was predeceased by his father Gino, mother Rena and sister Jeanette .
We regret, because of Covid19, that we can only accommodate invited family and friends to Rays Celebration Of Life. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
Celebration Of Life will take place on Friday, October 23rd at 1pm at the West Langley Hall located at : 9402 208 St, Langley City.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence for the family.
Messages:
I was honoured to know Ray. He was a kind, one of a kind man who touched many lives. His memory will live in in all who knew him. Condolences to all of Rays “family”.
I enjoyed knowing Ray. I will miss him.
We are so very sorry, Graham. We always enjoyed our time with your Dad. Love and sympathy, Diana & Monty
A great man who influenced my life. He inspired me to me the best person I could be, not to be a better person. As that would imply I was not a good person to begin with. I worked in engineering for about twenty years because of the honest ethics he mentored me in.
When they made Ray ... there was no mold... he was fashioned freehand ... a one of a kind .... Ray was a very special person ... I was happy and proud to call Ray a friend... My sincerest condolences to The people Ray called family ... he will be very missed by all...
Dear Family, It was with great sadness that we recently heard of Rays death. My early memories of Ray were always so positive, his laugh was unique and infectious as was his sense of humor. My father Jack reminded me that Ray was his oldest friend since immigrating to Canada. Few people enjoy meaningful long friendships as was the case with Ray and Jack. Please accept our deep sympathy. We have found comfort when faced with the death of a loved one from jw.org Stirling and Vicki Wilson
