Henry Walter Bandurski

December 22nd, 2022

With broken hearts we announce the passing of Henry Walter Bandurski in his 67h year on December 22, 2022, at the Queens Park Care Centre. Henry is predeceased by his wife Cathy (Dyck) in 2006, survived by and sadly missed by his sons Wesley and Ryan of Mission B.C. and stepdaughter Tilithia Dumphy of Edmonton AB.

Henry was born and raised in Timmins ON until he moved away to British Columbia where he worked in the mill industry most of his life.  When work was done, you would find him hunting, fishing, and camping until he fell ill in April 2021. After 2 surgeries he never fully recovered, and he remained surrounded by nurses and practitioners who cared for him at the Queens Park Care Centre in New Westminster BC.

Left to mourn are his siblings Gina Bandurski London ON, Sandra (John) Couture Sturgeon Falls ON, Lucy (Paul) Vanasse Hamilton ON, Wieslaw (Rina) Timmins ON, Richard (Yanni) Oshawa ON and Zigmund Quesnel BC, and nieces Kayla, Angela, Stefanie, Shelley, Christina and nephews Christopher, Michael, Frank and Derek.

Henry was also predeceased by his brother Edmund in July 2022 and niece Maureen Vanasse in 1986, as well as his parents Stefania (nee Kalinowska) 1987 and Stanley Bandurski 1964.

Henry was known by the people who knew him well as a free spirit with a very gentle soul. He made friends everywhere he’d go with his big and bright beautiful smile and no matter which walk of life, he would always offer a helping hand. His children were the light in his heart and often expressed his love for them.

Henry was loved by many and will never be forgotten and forever missed!

Special thanks to Jasmine Burge and the nursing staff at Queens Park Care Centre for your care and support!

Cremation in care of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services, Aldergrove BC.

In Henry’s honour, donations can be made to Mission Community Services Society – 1st Stage Emergency Shelter Haven in the Hallow 32646 Logan Avenue, Mission BC V2V 6C7. There will be no service.

Messages:

Gina and family, our sincerest sympathies on Henry’s passing. It’s been a couple of years of hardships for the Bandurski’s and we pray for good health for everyone. Condolences to his children. May he now Rest In Peace.

Henry and I grew up together in Timmins until he left to follow his dreams in BC . His trademark smile was infectious and he carried it wherever he went. One of the best people I’ve ever had the good fortune to know. He found his stairway to heaven. Rest easy my friend.
