Messages:

Rick, seems unimaginable that he is not gonna give me a smile and a silly joke with a laugh when I visit. He was my teacher, confidant and friend. I could always talk to him about anything and even if I had questions or concerns he didn't have answers to, I always felt better anyways. He helped teach me how to manage, understand, teach and have patience for the public, coworkers and more. What to watch for to keep my team safe. I have forever been grateful to have him in my life since I was a child, always wanting to be part of my Dad's world, and he made that easy. There has definitely been a hole left in Maple Ridge now that he isn't around. Rest now sweet man. My deepest condolences to the family, friends, coworker and every person he touched in his life.

Rick Scott, a man who loved to laugh, a natural at customer service, he made all feel comfortable in his presence / Thank you Rick for your always honest opinion and much valued advice Rest In Peace My Friend

Got me home safely from the pub on many occasions. Rest in peace mate.

Pragmatic, smart and one who worked for the betterment of others, and for the good, Rick was a very special person to many and to those who loved him. But most of all, Mr. Rick Scott responded to humour with a roar of laughter. Rick will be forever in my mind as the vibrant, caring shepherd at Glacier Park Lodge for those from Nova Scotia to the west coast of BC and all points in between. Rick Scott was a unique, engaged, dedicated to his work giant of a man.
