One Wonderful Woman of God…. Seija O. Vainio

Born in Finland, in 1930-and went in the presence of her Everlasting Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on April 10, 2018. She kept her smile all the way into her last breath, one minute she was talking to her Care Aid, the next moment she was gone…No pain and no sorrow, “Well done you faithful and wonderful Woman and servant of God.” She was a genuine woman of God who radiated the love of God from within her: Even the hospital staff from one month ago never forgot her sweetness and one after the other they commented what a sweet lady. Not one mean bone in her body…. not one. Seija loved her family completely and was a very dear friend to me (Dezso) personally: a genuine woman of God.

When Martha and I went to Africa in July 2000, 2001, 2002 we had no support, no money except God’s faithfulness: Mom told Martha that we were welcome to put our furniture in the basement. In 2003 after had already returned to Africa we were not only broke but also poor as church mice, I left Hungary at the age of nine with only my clothes on my back and Martha and I knew the voice of the Lord and in blind faith we just obeyed Him. I was able to land a job in Abbotsford $9 dollars per hour (Gross), and I was really stuck as had no place to stay. Dad having passed away the previous year mom invited me to come stay with her. While others were not so nice to me: Mom was there when others I guess would have liked to have seen me out on the street and homeless. (Even the place we had in Clearbrook was rented out but we had to subsidise the rental of the property each month as the rent did not cover all costs) Mom you were not only angel but also God given mother who truly loved and cared.

Well done-Seija O. Vainio-Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma. Well done, we will love you and miss you…Until we meet again…Soon.
