Maria Lourdes (Lody) Calitis

Born in ILO ILO, Philippines, Lody passed away peacefully at St Vincent Langara Care Home in Vancouver. She will be forever loved and dearly missed by her daughter Rosy (Jerry), granddaughter Sabrina, sister Angie (Teddy), brother Peter, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Marcial and Maria Figueroa, husband Gener, sister Mercy and brother Benny.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 4:30 pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 555 Slocan St, Vancouver, BC

Rosy, please accept my sincerest condolences on your mother’s passing. I fondly remember seeing Mrs Calitis almost everyday by the AVR, when we were in gradeschool at SSC. She always had a smile for us when we would call out to her. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family your this difficult time. Rest in peace Mrs Calitis.
I sincerely offer my condolences to you all. I will always cherish my time spent with grandma Lola and all the memories I have of her. I'm allowing myself to share some words that have consoled me in moments like this. Revelation 21: 4,5 ....death will be no more John 5:25 ,,,,,,,there will be a resurrection. Yes, we will be able to see our dear loved ones that have fallen asleep in death.
