Brian Robert Cannon

Brian Robert Cannon born in 1958 passed away on May 20, 2019 with his family by his side after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. A devoted husband and a loving father, Brian will be dearly missed by his wife of 39 years, Helena and their son Robert (Grace). He will always be remembered by his mother Patricia, his sister Cathy (Ron) and his brother Peter. Brian was predeceased by his father Bob, and his sisters Carolyn (Bob) and Susan (Mark).
Born in Montreal, QC, Brian was the second oldest of his siblings. At a young age he developed a deep passion for stamp collecting, his life-long hobby. He had a tremendous love for sports, especially baseball and hockey, both playing and volunteering throughout his life. An avid reader, Brian was always looking to keep his mind sharp and learn new things. Brian was an animal lover, caring for his turtles and dogs like they were his family.
A world traveler, he met his wife Helena on the other side of the world in the country of Tuvalu where they were married and share many happy memories together. Together, they would start a family back in Canada eventually establishing their home in Langley, BC.
Brian proudly worked as a draftsman and later a mechanical designer for most of his professional career.
A memorial gathering for Brian will be held June 5, 2019 at the Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services chapel at 3070 - 275A Street, Aldergrove, BC from 2-4 PM.

I remember Brian as a gentle, soft spoken man who loved his family. The world is now missing a gentle soul but he will live on in our hearts and memories.
I never met Brian but we had a number of dealings together and often chatted about our hobby of Stamp Collecting. He always came across as a top guy and it was a pleasure to have known him for many years. He will be missed around the forums and I offer my condolences to his family and friends. R.I.P. my friend.
