Gail Ann Forbes
February 11th, 2019
Gail passed away peacefully in Langley Hospice on February 11th following a lengthy battle with cancer. Her bright smile and sparkling eyes will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Gail was predeceased by her beloved husband William (Bill) Kerr, her father Charles (Chuck) Forbes, her mother Agnes Forbes (Erickson), brothers Robert (Bob) and Thomas (Tom) Forbes. She will forever be remembered by stepson Scott Kerr, her many cousins and numerous friends.
Gail was born November 12, 1943 in Saskatchewan and spent most of her childhood in Kemano before graduating from high school in Kitimat. Early in her career she transferred to Nanaimo where she met the love of her life, Bill. They loved the ocean and enjoyed boating up and down the BC coast. Following the purchase of their first farm, they moved to Langley and acquired their first of many thoroughbred race horses. Over the years they enjoyed farm life with a variety of animals, and always a special dog or two. Gail, a successful Fraser Valley Realtor for 30 years, loved to travel and spent many years seeking sunshine where she became an avid golfer. She carried her passion to both play and watch golf through to her final days.
Gail’s last weeks were spent in Langley Hospice surrounded by friends and family. She was grateful to have countless visitors and to continue to make memories with those near and far. There was wine shared, stories told, and laughter and tears amongst all of those who loved her dearly. She openly shared her wise words and her readiness for the next adventure.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Dr. Kass, Dr. Duncan and all of the dedicated staff and volunteers at the Langley Hospice. Your kindness, compassion and incredible care helped not only Gail but her family and friends during this difficult time.
At Gail’s request there will be no service.
