Joyce Allen Franks

After a brief illness, Joyce passed away on Aug. 17, 2019 in Vancouver, BC, where she had lived for over 40 years.
Predeceased by her parents John and Edith Bell, husband Theodore (Ted), brothers Allan, Walt, Jack, Sidney, sisters Ollie and Edie, oldest baby son, and youngest daughter Joyce, son-in-law Ron Vallee.
Survived by her children Ted (Theresa), Ronald, Sharon (David) and Ken. Grandchildren Aaron (Jenny) Franks, Rory (Michelle), Sherilee Franks and Jennifer McKechnie (Ian) and numerous great grandchildren.
Joyce was the 7th of eight children born in Vegreville, Alta. She moved to Vancouver, BC in late 1943 and worked as a clerk in a government office for three years, where she met Ted. They married on Nov. 28,1947
Mom loved her family dearly and was a great homemaker and friend to her children. She loved going to bingo, the P.N.E. and travelling to Fiji and New Zealand.
Celebration of life will be held at 1:00 at Sonrise Church, 5588 188th St, Surrey, BC on Sept 28, 2019.
