Giorgio Rino DeGianni

September 8th, 2020

On the evening of September 8, 2020, the family and friends of Giorgio Rino DeGianni lost a vibrant and generous man.

Beginning his life in Cino, Italy, Giorgio ventured to Canada at the age of 20 in 1951. Later he met the love of his life, Marjorie creating a love affair lasting 55 years.  They had 3 devoted sons, Reno, Paulo and Rodney.

Giorgio had a passion for gardening, bocce, wine making and always putting his family first.  He is known for his endless energy and his comment; “Well I can’t complain!”.

Giorgio is predeceased by wife Marjorie and survived by his sons, Reno (Debra), Paulo (Alison) and Rod (Julie), and his six grandchildren, Alissa, Sophia, Teo, Sydney, Luciano and Nicholas.  Our beloved Nonno will be sadly missed.

We will be having an intimate family service and plan to have a celebration of life for friends and extended family when current restrictions have been lifted.

You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence for the family.

Messages:

Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. He made the best homemade wine and Italian sausages! My condolences to your family.

I was saddened to see Mr. DeGianni's obituary in the paper. He was a very nice and talented man. I remember seeing him often at both of the cattle auctions in Abbotsford and Langley and he once cut up and packaged meat for us from one of our veal calves. My husband, Bill, recently passed away and Georgio's obituary was right above Bill's in the same paper. It was hurtful for me to see that both good people passed away this month. We feel the loss of your father and grandfather. Sincere condolences to your families. Diane Garbutt and Family Mt. Lehman

It was my great fortune to have met a truly great man. He was kind jovial and a gentleman. Thanks for his memory : From Tanya, Dean, Gisela and Jack Ziyone

condolences to the family. Knew George forever, I think he bowled with my dad and Ritchie Fatkin, Joe Breier. I also set pins for his team and always thought he had a funny release but could sure have some big games. Super nice guy.

We were so sorry to hear of your fathers passing. Our thoughts are with you at this time . Brad and Robyn Creasy
