ARCHIBALD LANGSTON

APRIL 7, 1928 - JANUARY 29, 2024

Archie Langston passed peacefully on January 29, 2024. He is predeceased by his brother Ken, survived by his wife Dorcas, sister Corinne, daughter Donna (Cecil), sons Craig (Dominique), Brent (Veronica), grandchildren Jennifer, Scott, and Kate.

Archie was born in Saint Boniface and raised in Winnipeg. As a young man of 17, Archie joined the Royal Canadian Navy. In his 10 years of active service, he was deployed overseas in many places around the world including China during the communist takeover and the Korean conflict.

Archie was an avid boater. Together with his wife Dorcas, they enjoyed countless adventures on their boat and cruised BC’s waters for many years.

Archie was a devoted and loving husband, Dad, Grandpa, and loyal friend. He was witty, generous, loving, and resilient. He lives in our hearts and memories.

Our family is deeply grateful to the exceptional care team at Minoru Residence in Richmond for their committed care, warmth, and support.

We invite you to remember Archie by doing a random act of kindness for a stranger.

A celebration of Archie’s life will be held on Saturday, March 9th @ 10:30 am at The Tapestry Richmond, 9280 No 2 Road, Richmond.

Dearest Dorcas and family, keeping you close in our thoughts and prayers as you adjust to life without amazing Archie. May you be surrounded with peace and the love of family and friends.

ARCHIE amazed everyone by his ability many times over to win the battles which threatened him and always emerge smiling once again. He was never ready to give up and endeared himself to everyone with his endurance, always being ready with a joke to share and make people smile. We all will remember his wisdom and we won't forget his stories. Enjoy your peace now Archie. Prayers for Dorcas who will miss him the most of all June...…..
