March 25, 1946 - April 3, 2024
With a lifetime of fond and humour filled memories, we are sad to announce the passing of our devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, Wayne. He will be dearly missed by Marj, his wife of 56 years, sons Jason (Cindy) and Kent (Rae-Ann), daughter Heather (Ryan), grandsons Britton, Byrne, and Grady, brothers Art (Doreen) and Bryan (Sharon); brothers-in-law Fred Mann, Harry (Sue) Mann, Jeff Wilks, sisters-in-law Sharon (Art) Shantz, and Elaine Mann, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Wayne was predeceased by his parents Art and Alice, his brother-in-law Bob Mann and sister-in-law Susan Wilks. In keeping with Wayne's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.

Marj, we are so sorry to hear that Wayne had died. Our 20+ year friendship with you and Wayne is one of our most valued. It would take a book to describe all the wonderful times we have enjoyed together over these years, always marked, as you say, with a sense of humour that we always seemed to have in common. We will dearly miss Wayne's contribution to the laughter that we shared. Of course, we will see you as often as we can, and look forward to looking back over these cherished memories with Wayne. Our condolences to all the family.
Marj and family, we are so sorry for your loss, Wayne was a wonderful humorous man who enjoyed life to the fullest. I can’t imagine after spending 57 years with him how different things will be without him. May you and your family cherish all of the fond memories. RIP Wayne.

We are so sorry to learn of Wayne’s passing. Our hearts go out to Mark and his whole family. Wayne was such a light hearted man and we enjoyed a lot of good times with he and Mark back in Edmonton. Take care Mark. Wayne and you will always hold a special place on our hearts.
It is with much sadness to hear of your loss of Wayne. Truly an exceptional individual that touched everyone he met. We have good memories of meeting you downtown Vancouver for visits and lunch. Marj! We have so many fantastic memories of Wayne but maybe the best was our trip to Newfoundland! What a great time and so many laughs! Bob and I are sending our love and condolences to you and your family. He will be missed. What a great guy!

Marj and family, I just learned of Wayne’s passing today and it came as such a shock! I worked with Wayne and had the chance to hang out with him and Marj in both Edmonton and Halifax. What a fun & hilarious couple to go out with! I have many fond memories of Wayne both at work and socially. Just an overall nice guy! He will be missed!
