June was born in Birmingham, England, on August 13, 1929. She met her husband, David, and they married in England. June worked as a switchboard operator in Cornwall, Penzance. In 1951, June and David had their first son, Gary, and then moved to Canada in 1954. Their second son, Terry, was born in Alberta in 1963, where they lived until 1977 before moving and residing in British Columbia.

June loved living in British Columbia, and she would often say the warm weather, and the rain reminded her of England.

June’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved the time she spent with them and the many adventures they shared. She had the joy of seeing four of her grandchildren get married and had ten wonderful years watching her great-grandchildren grow. She had a fearless attitude about life, and her wit and humor were contagious to those around her. She loved to laugh and had quite the sense of humor. June taught her grandkids and great grandkids many important lessons about life. June will also be remembered for her joy of traveling and the many souvenirs she brought home. She was a social butterfly, always getting together with friends for dinners and shows. June will be remembered for her love of chocolate and candies and how she always made sure the candy dishes were filled to the brim when someone visited.

June lived 94 incredible years, and will be loved and missed by all, but those who knew her will find comfort knowing she remains with them in their hearts, memories, and shared stories.
