Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Almond McGee

On December 13, 2024, our dear mother, Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Almond McGee, passed away peacefully at the age of ninety-two. She was born and raised in beautiful Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

In Cape Breton, Betty met and fell in love with Stephen McGee. Their love story grew, and at the youthful age of twenty-one, they embarked on a new chapter together in Chilliwack, British Columbia. It was here that they built a home and raised a large and close-knit family. Chilliwack became a place of cherished memories, laughter, and love.

Betty was a woman of immense generosity and kindness. She had a heart that was always open to others, and her willingness to help those around her left a profound impact on everyone she met.

Betty is now reunited with her beloved husband Stephen and their son Gary. While we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she is at peace and surrounded by the love of her family who went before her.

One of Betty's enduring wishes was for everyone to be kind to one another. She believed in the power of kindness to make the world a better place, and she lived her life with this belief. As we remember and celebrate her life, let us honor her legacy by spreading kindness and compassion in our own lives.

Betty McGee's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her children, daughter-in laws, son-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends. Her life was an example of love, generosity, and the importance of family. May we all strive to live by her example and keep her spirit alive in our daily actions.
