Before their deaths both of my parents years ago chose Alternatives, and as executor of both wills I could not be more pleased with Alternative's services. On both occasions Lorne and all involved were fast, efficient, discreet and tasteful. Pre-paying before a death is one big thing out of the way. Alternatives will do their best to get you through a very difficult time, including the steps that should be taken following a death. As it is a lengthy list you will appreciate their guidance. On behalf of my family and myself I would like to thank Lorne, April and their staff for the caring and professional services offered to our family following the passing of our husband, father and grandfather. Lorne came to our home and made a very difficult day so much easier with his compassion and suggestions. Following cremation April returned his remains to our home and guided us through all of the paperwork we needed to do following a death. They are truly a remarkable organization.

In March 2014 we very unexpectedly lost our Mother and were referred to Alternatives by a family member who had recently lost her husband. This death event was incredibly hard on all of us, especially our Father. Two days after her death, Lorne braved horrible roads and came out to our small town. With him he brought a much needed sense of comfort and warmth.
When he sat with us, he didn't do any pressured sales pitches, didn't seem rushed, he was very genuine and caring, He was also very knowledgeable in what was required moving forward. He gave us a great information package that carried us through the process of dealing with the government and bank, etc.. Because of his caring attitude and warmth and that of the staff at Alternatives, my family and I Highly recommend Alternatives Funeral Services to anyone who has experienced a loss.
