Joan LePage

Joan Charlotte (nee Massier), dearly beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully in the Regina General Hospital on Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Maurice LePage, her parents, Charles and Anna Massier, her twin sister, June LePage, parents-in-law, Colin & Marie LePage; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Laurier & Estelle LePage, Wilfred LePage, Henry LePage, Stuart Wells, Annette & Lionel Loiselle, Therese & Rene Lavoie, and Dianne Massier.  Joan is survived by her loving family; daughters Michelle (Gerry) Redl and their daughter Britni (Corey) Michel; Colette Stefan and her daughters Mackenzie (Jacob Hollenbeck) & Madison; Nicole (Kevin) Almassy and their sons, Aaron and Tyler; son-in-law, Keith Stefan. She is also survived by her sister Jan (Jim) Ursu, her brother, Gary (Christine Tell) Massier, her brother-in-law, Antoine (Genevieve) LePage, her sisters-in-law, Yvette Wells & Loretta LePage; numerous well loved nieces, nephews and treasured friends.

Joan was born April 25, 1935 at Serath, Sk. and lived in Prince Albert, Saskatoon, and Regina. She worked for the Bank of Montreal before her marriage and later part-time for the Royal Bank for many years. Joan & Maurice enjoyed travelling and visited many exotic places throughout the world. They excelled at entertaining business colleagues and friends. Joan loved to cook and bake, sewed beautifully, enjoyed knitting, and listening to music. She was a generous, loving mother, sister, and friend and had a wonderful sense of humour.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and caregivers at the Pasqua Hospital -  3D, Parkside Extendicare and the Regina General Hospital - 5E for their kind and compassionate care of Joan.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in Little Flower R.C. Church, 420 College Avenue, Regina, Sk. with Rev. Barry Anwender, Celebrant. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers most gratefully declined.  Donations may be made in Joan’s memory to the charity of your choice
