It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Carol, late of Regina, SK, on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the age of 70 years.  She passed away at the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice after a short battle with lung cancer. Carol is predeceased by her parents Jack and Edith McPhee, her husband Leslie Manz, her brother Jimmy McPhee and her brother-in-law Henry Salel. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister and confidant Sharon Salel, her brother and best friend Don McPhee, her cherished daughter Christine (Kevin Anderson) Box, her beloved son Brian (Angela) Manz, her "cookie" daughter Tracy Wharran, and the apples of her eye, her grandchildren Jayden and Kyra Box. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom are all blessed to have known her. She will always be remembered for her strong spirit and kind soul. Her laugh, teasing nature and love of family will be greatly missed. Carol touched the lives of many people with her smile and sense of humor which she kept right to the end. A celebration of her life will be held this coming summer. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff and volunteers of the Grace Hospice. They provided such wonderful and compassionate care for Carol. Seeing the hospice staff at work shows that there are truly “Angels Among Us”. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol’s memory to the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice. Rest in eternal peace Mom, your suffering is now over. You will be missed and will forever remain in our hearts.

Auntie Carol will be deeply missed. It was such a blessing to spend time with her in November- we had lots of laughs together. She had a sharp sense of humour! Our prayers are with her family- especially Christine, Brian and Angie who so beautifully and lovingly kept vigil by her side these last months. We look forward to celebrating Carol's life together in the summer.

My heart goes out to you and your families Chris and Brian. Carol was a sweet lady that could always bring a smile with her sharp wit. I'm sure you must know that you two were her greatest legacy. Truely two kids that she could be proud of. Although your hearts may be heavy now, the memories that you have of her will be what you can hold close as time passes. I know I have a few myself. Fairwell Carol...
