Conchita "Cita" Cortes

Conchita 'Cita' Cortes (nee Palco), dearly beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away at home on Saturday, April 27, 2013 in her 67th year. Conchita was predeceased by her parents, Francisco and Gavina Palco, brothers Epolito and Cresenciano, sisters Lourdes and Manol, brothers-in-law Gaudioso and Mario Cortes, sister-in-law Lydia Delmar. Conchita is survived by her loving family, husband Lorenzo; children Catherine, Maria (Jean-Paul), Joseph (Stacey), Lorenzo Jr. (Andrea); grandchildren Connor, Chantal, Celeste, Grace, Dominic, Joshua, and Marcus; brother Eutiquiano (Julieta), sisters Esmaela, and Concordia (Buenaventura); sisters-in-law Luz (Ted) Aumentado, Carmelita (Ike) Acosta, Jovita Legarde, Esther (Joe) Villamor, Arlinda (Nonoy) Gascon as well as nieces and nephews and treasured friends. She will also be missed by her two companions Whitey and Raphael. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and camping. Her warmest memories were of making trips to Calgary, California, and Hawaii to spend time with family. Conchita was a strong and proud, but loving mother who cared for her children deeply. She will be forever missed.  Conchita was born December 9, 1946 in Mandaue City, Cebu in The Philippines. She and her family came to Canada in 1976. She worked for a short time but saw her place was in the home to take care of her family. Conchita was a kind and gentle person who blessed those who knew her with her beautiful grace.  Private funeral service will be held.  Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
