Dennis Leon Sayer

Dennis Leon Sayer passed peacefully from this life the morning of Thursday, March 14, 2013. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family during the last days of his life. Dennis was born in Regina, Saskatchewan; he also spent many years in Calgary, Alberta. Dennis was a hard worker, and often referred to himself as Santa Claus. His laugh was infectious and he always brought smiles. Dennis, in his younger years, was involved in martial arts and always had a love for German Shepherds.
Dennis is predeceased by his father John Sayer and by his mother Agnes Desjarlais, sister Marsha Sayer. Dennis is survived by his partner Cheryl Kostiuk and her children Amanda (Dave) grandchildren: Kiana and Lexi, and Curtis grandchild: Keegan. He is also survived by his mother Marlene; sisters Margaret, Doreen (Harold), Majorie, Rosalie, Della (Frankie), Patricia (Ellen), Therisa, Veronica (Steve) and Leona. He is also survived by his brothers Vernon (Angela), Larry (Shelly), Homer and Spencer, as well as special nieces, Lisa, Nicole, Alexa, Raven and special nephews Chris, Vincent, Tyrone, Sky, Jordan, Derek, Nolan, Jaden, Jackson and Macen including many extended family.
To my loving brother Dennis, thank you for being my friend and teaching all of us the importance of loving and caring for people. The reflections of that was shown from the love of your friends and family when it counted. Thank you for being my brother.
