Harvey Alfred Kliewer

Harvey Kliewer passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Feb 24, 2014, after a courageous battle of lung cancer. Harvey grew up on a farm close to Hepburn, Sask. He loved baseball and in his early years was a coach to not only his wife but also his children. Harvey is predeceased by his twin sisters Edna & Elma, his older sister Viola and his brother Edwin. Survived by his wife of 56 years Phyllis and children Heather Thompson (George Blake), Kelly Holtby and Robert Kliewer (Carol Kliewer). His six grandchildren Delta Holtby (Steven Gries), Dallas Holtby (Ryan Gordon), Dana Holtby - Miller (Ryan Miller), Amanda Thompson, Stephen Kliewer and Jessica Kliewer. As well as his six great-grandsons. We would like to thank the staff at the General Hospital on unit 3F for their compassion and kindness during his final hours. A Funeral service will be held at Parliament Community Church 4011 Pasqua St, Regina, SK on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers please donate to Canadian Cancer Society.
