Rosalia Lang

June 1st, 1921 ~ June 17th, 2015

Rosalia (Hartmann), dearly beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away peacefully in her sleep at Wolseley Lakeside Nursing Home on June 17, 2015. Rosalia was predeceased by her husband Frank Lang and his family, her parents Johann and Magdalena (Fritz) Hartmann, and her brother Johann (Barbara) Hartmann.

Rosalia is survived by her loving son Peter and daughter-in-law Linda, grandchildren Connie and Pete (Andrea) and their mother Anna, Dana (Jim), Joshua and Chase; great grandchildren Shelbi (David), Brayden (Nicole), and Brodie, Taryn (Derek) and Riley (Brittany), and Riley; great great grandchildren, Keira and Kylie.  Rosalia is also survived by her dear cousin and friend Elizabeth (Baumann) (Eric) Rode, Hamilton, Ontario, as well as numerous well loved and treasured friends.

Rosalia was born June 1, 1921 in Germany (Black Forest) where her family originated from.  She immigrated to Canada in 1953.  Prior to retiring she worked for many years at Sears.  Rosalia loved to garden, cook, sew, and loved music and dancing.  But mostly Rosie loved her family, “my people” as she lovingly called us.

Rosie filled our souls with wisdom and our hearts with love.  She was a kind, generous, loving mother and grandmother and had a wonderful sense of humour.  She loved to laugh and have fun.  She will be missed by all.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 26th, 2015 at 11:00 am in St. Peter’s RC Church, 100 Argyle Street, Regina.

Thank you to Father George, Indian Head RC Church and to all the kind and caring Doctors, Nurses and Care Staff at Wolseley Lakeside Home.  Your love and care for Rosie was outstanding, thank you.
