Dennis Dee Lansdell

July 4th, 2015

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis Dee Lansdell after a brave and courageous battle with cancer. Dennis passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday July 4, 2015 at the age of 66 years. He was predeceased by his father George Melvin Lansdell and mother Charlotte Lansdell (Forsythe). Dennis leaves to mourn his children Dean and his wife Tamara (grandchildren Levi and Mya), Doug, Darrin and his wife Jasclyn (granddaughter Faith); sister Lindy Frigon, sister Bridgette (Tim Holliday); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dennis worked at the Co-op refinery for 38 years until his retirement in April of 2007. In his younger years Dennis loved to play fastball, broomball, and other sports. Dennis had a kind heart, great sense of humor, and was always willing to help out a friend. Special thanks to the nurses in Unit 3 and Palliative Care at the Pasqua Hospital for taking such good care of our father. At Dennis' request there will be no funeral service.

I have known Dennis since grade nine at Thom Collegiate. He always gave me a bad time because he was in Form A and I was in Form D!! I admired him for sticking to one job for that many years, and whenever I went for a cold one, he would be there most times and we always traded "nasties" with each other. I will miss that. He was very kind hearted. My condolences to Dean, Dougie and Darren and family.

My sincerest condolences to your family, I had the pleasure of knowing Dennis since 2004 when I worked at the King's Head Tavern. In the last little while we spoke about his cancer and Chemo. He will be sadly missed
