Carolyn Rathy

March 12th, 2015

It is with great sadness our family must announce the passing of Carolyn Rathy at the age of 75 years.  Carol passed away peacefully with her family by her side, after a lengthy illness.  She is survived by her loving husband and high school sweetheart Donald Rathy.  Together they raised three children: Brent (Tracey) Rathy, Russ (Shaun) Rathy and Paige (Paul) Stewart.  She especially loved her grandchildren: Rocky Rathy, Jenna-Wade (Ryan) Zerff, Randi (Jared) Wilhelm, Rio Rathy, Justice Rathy, Jesse-James Stewart, Miranda Stewart, Bailee Stewart; and her great grandchildren: Kristian, Memphis, Chase and Rylee.  Carol has been reunited with her parents Jesse James and Ruth Rittinger and her only sibling Sharon (Dennis) MacPherson.

Carol had a magnetic personality that drew so many people close to her.  She kept her smile and sense of humour right to the end.  You will be missed and will forever remain in our hearts.  A Celebration of Carol’s Life will be held this coming summer.

Thank you to the staff (6F) at the Regina General Hospital who made her final days as comfortable as possible.  Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Saskatchewan Lung Association www.sk.lung.ca.

Messages:

On behalf of our family we would like to thank everyone for their kind words and support during this difficult time. A Celebration of Carol's life will be held on Saturday June 20th at St Jeromes's Church in Regina Beach, SK. A social will follow at the Memorial Hall.

My mom & dad were Jack & Wilma Williams and my dad worked with Jesse at Eaton's for many years. I have many fond memories of times our two families spent together when I was young. Carol & Sharon used to babysit me and my sisters as well. The Rittingers were very special friends of our family. We are saddened to hear of Carol's passing. May all your wonderful memories be a comfort to you in the days ahead. With our love and sincere sympathy, Jill & Don McDougall

Don, Brent, Russ, Paige, Sorry to hear of the passing of Carol. Growing up I always remember Carol as a great person and neighbour who was always there for all of us. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Don & Family I was so sad to hear of Carol's passing. I knew Carol as a sweet, fun loving gal with a "contagious smile". Regina Beach will miss this "lovely lady"! May you find strength in the friendship of those who share your loss!!
