Arthur "Art" Henry Resener

July 23rd, 2015

Arthur passed away with his wife and daughter by his side on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the age of 79 years.  Arthur was predeceased by his parents Theodore and Elsie; sisters Doris, Judy, and Marjorie May; brother Donald.   He is survived by his wife Diana; sons Jeff and Kristopher;  daughter and daddy’s girl forever Laural (Steven); grandsons Jordan, Austin,  and Bryden; brothers Raymond, Melvin, and Allan; sisters Donna, Margaret, Marie, Doreen, and Darlene; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Arthur was born and raised in Kelliher, Saskatchewan.  He moved to Regina and started to work for The City of Regina starting his career with the city as a garbage man to snow removal to parks and recreation and all the way to top of roadways as a Foreman.  Arthur was an organized man with almost everything he did and his passions almost always used hands-on skills in his life; his passions included gardening in the summer months with tomato plants that grew to be just as tall as he was, making unusual wines with beets from the garden, fixing and creating gadgets in the winter months, to recycling and using old parts of this and that, to creating things that have never been thought of like a watering system that would hit barrels with the rain and leak all over the garden to make an affordable way and less work on him to water the garden. Along with a creative imagination and being a problem solver, he was there building things (either wood working or with electrical).  He had the talent of inventing, fixing, and repairing all the older gadgets and electronics. Arthur loved to play the organ and Nintendo with his children and grandchildren; Donkey Kong was one of his favorites.  On day/evenings out he enjoyed playing pool with local friends and family.  Arthur was a strong man in a lot of ways and he was a fighter up until his last days.  He had no complaints even though we knew the pain he was suffering; he wouldn’t show or admit his pain even up until his last breath.   He showed us all how strong he was.  We will all love you unconditionally until infinity and beyond. Your memories will always be cherished by us all in many ways in our hearts and souls and we know you will be there with us always.  Arthur was a good husband, great father, and even better papa and will be loved and missed unconditionally not only by family but by all who’s hearts he has touched over the years. Private family service was held.

Messages:

Hi this is Raymond. Your brother from Medicine Hat. That's all .

I was very saddened hearing Art had passed away. Only had known him just over a year but enjoyed our talks and having him as a tenant. May all your beautiful memories keep him alive in your hearts. He will be missed. Dealing mostly with you Lori and Steve has been such a pleasure and I feel I've known you longer. Grateful you called me to share birthday cake with Art and hope to keep in touch. My deepest condolences also to your Mom, Kris and Jeff.

To Laural and all of the Family. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow. I recall hearing all of the stories you would share about your Dad and how much you all cherished your time with him. Cherish all of the special memories as they will help bring you comfort.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family.
