Harriet Ruecker

It is with earthly sorrow and rejoicing in heaven that we announce the passing of Harriet Irene Wanda Ruecker.  She was predeceased by her husband Arnold, parents, great-grandson Eli, and 12 siblings.  Harriet is survived by her daughter Marsha (Jim) Ackerman and grandson Philip; son Garth (Margaret) and grandsons David (Bethann) and the twinkle in her eye great-grandson Jasper, Michael, Darren (Michelle), Cory (Caroline); sister Lil Hauser; sister-in-law Edna Stack; brother-in-law Herb Schienbein; Arnold’s brothers Otto (Florence), Herb (Thyra), Wilfred (Ethel);  as well as many nieces and nephews.  Harriet will be remembered for her baking, game playing, cards with sprinkles, but mostly for her remarkable quotes and memorable antics with her grandsons as recorded on the “Grandma Ruecker” facebook page.  Celebration of Harriet’s Life will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 1:00 pm in Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK with Pastor Dennis Hendricksen officiating.  Private family interment was held in Riverside Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 4825 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK S4T 1B7.
