Messages:

I fondly recall Joanne as a hard working and dedicated Executive Director at the Saskatchewan Organization for Heritage Languages (SOHL). As her supervisor we spent many hours discussing the business of SOHL but as well how to make organizations function efficiently and how to interact effectively with people. Although our relations were of a business nature Joanne clearly demonstrated caring and compassion for the members she worked with on an ongoing basis. She will be dearly remembered and missed.

I truly hope when my turn comes, I can depart so graciously, with so much style. I know the last few months were not easy for her, but she kept involved, met her goals, and has left her mark. We all were so lucky to have her in our lives!

Joanne was amazing. Her gentle yet strong spirit and positive attitude inspired us all. When they wrote the song "I did it my way" they had Joanne in mind. I will always remember her with a smile and the way she smiled and her quiet laugh. I met Joanne through Shelly who has been my friend for many years. My condolences go out to her family particularly her sons who were the wind beneath her wings, her mom and Shelly who now have an angel looking after them. Linda O'Halloran

Deepest sympathies to all of Joanne's family. We originally met at FQHS, remet at Ag & Food, and remained friends with Shelley in Regina for several years.

Shelly and family, my sincere condolences at the loss of Joanne. I remember meeting Joanne so many years ago on Yingst Bay, and feel so fortunate to have crossed paths with her, many times since then. Such a beautiful, gentle spirit. You are in my thoughts and meditations.

Steve and boys my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Have not seen Joanne for years, but she was always an inspiration with her art and dedication to the field.
