Messages:

My condolences to the Sleightholm family. He had such a good heart and was so strong. I lost contact with Austin but I would reach out to him through his posts before I moved away from Regina years ago. That's the impact this man had. Young soldier left too soon for this world but his journey continues on.

No words at this time, can be fully expressed that will share the immense grief and sadness, that we; your family are experiencing over our loss of you ~ ~ ~ You were *that* breath of fresh air* that we all needed, your mere presence demanded respect, and was granted. I was always so very proud of you, Aussie, letting you know how much I loved you. You were always so selfless and kind-hearted, the first person to take the shirt off your back to offer to another in need... Your beheld a honest love and respect for all those you knew; you honored and loved your mom and siblings, with a strength beyond any I have known. You loved life to the fullest and those who adored you, were humbly touched by the honor of knowing you. Austin, we may not fully understand why you left this Earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye to you -- Your life touched so many people and you will NEVER be forgotten... So, instead of celebrating your *20th birthday* today, a profound silence rests upon us, a quiet sadness for the great loss we all feel, a longing for one more day with you, one more *I love you Aussie*, one more touching hug... Austin, your life meant so much to us, you have granted us memories too amazingly beautiful to ever forget. One day; through our grieving process, we will begin to remember not just that you died; but that you lived and loved life to the fullest.... "Rest peacefully, void of pain and sadness; until we met again, my sweet Aussie" Lots of love forever, Nanna

We remember Austin for his gentle, kind and respectful nature. We admired his willingness to learn, his determination to succeed and his strong desire to always do his best. He will always have a special place in our hearts!

May he rest peacefully and forever be in your hearts.
