Ron Smith

It is with great sadness that the family of Ron Smith announces his passing on August 10, 2015 surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren.

He will forever be missed by his wife Lesley, stepson Jeff Springer and mother-in-law Dorothy Heinitz; his daughters Tobi (Joe) Bote and their children Megan, Kaitlyn and Samantha; Peggy (Jamie) Farrell and her son Nikolas Baroldi; Kim (Dave) Hambleton and their daughters Rowyn and Kendall; son Matt Smith; great-grandsons Lucas, Noah and Ryder; sister Edna (Leo) Weaver and brother Harold (Corrinne) Smith and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Ron was predeceased by his parents Toby and Julia; brothers Ken, Donald and Norman, and sisters Carol and Caroline.

Ron lived a full life filled with many adventures, while spending most of his career as an Immigration Officer and travelling the world as part of his work.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in The Eagles Club, 1600 Halifax St., Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make donations to Hope's Home, an organization he felt very strongly about.
