Otto Donald Welz

Otto Donald Welz, late of Regina, SK passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the age of 72 years.  He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Martha; brother Walter; brother-in-law Morris Purves.  Otto is survived by his wife and best friend of 43 years Olga Christoph; step-sons Cory and Blaine Christoph (Diane); step-granddaughters Tatyana and Tanesha Christoph (Dalton), Kelsey Christoph (Jon); step-great grandchildren Alexa, Zoe, and Max; his pet dog and companion Lucky; sisters Mary Purves and Shirley (Erwin) Podolski; brother Cliff; children Don and Carmen; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  Upon Otto’s request, no service will be held.  The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. J. Rao and all the nurses and staff at the Regina General Hospital for their compassion and kindness shown to Olga and her family.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 279 - 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8

Deepest sympathy to Aunt Olga and family on the passing of Uncle Don. We have a lot of fond memories of happy times spent together. There were lots of love, laughs and good stories shared. We will remember him with much love and fondness.

To my Auntie Olgie and her family. I am so sorry for your loss. So many memories growing up, Uncle Don was my first "Santa", you sure did fool me on that one for the longest time and I have many memories with lots of laughs looking on as the Canasta games took place. Those we love and lose are always connected by heartstrings into infinity. I am thinking about you and sending love.
