Donald Walter Exner
January 4th, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce Don’s sudden passing on January 4th, 2016 at the age of 68 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Dorene; son Devon (Rhonda); daughter Denise (Stuart); grandchildren Tanner, Tye, Caitlyn and Jared; sister Penni (Andy); numerous nieces, nephews and other loved family members.
Don was predeceased by his mother Lorraine and sister Janet.
Don took great pride in both his career and home life. His attention to detail and getting the job done right was reflected in every aspect of his life. He was very active and enjoyed spending time with his loving wife Dorene, family and friends. Among his passions were golfing, hockey, curling, biking and endless walks.
Our family would like to express their sincere thanks to all of the doctors and staff of the Regina General Hospital, MICU Unit. Their kind, caring, and compassionate treatment of Don and our family will never be forgotten.
The family will be holding a private memorial service for Don.
Those wishing, may make donations to the MICU Unit of the General Hospital, 1440 14th Ave, Regina, SK, S4P 0W5.
Don, we love you. You will be missed and always remembered…

Dear Dorene, Devon & Rhonda, Denise & Stewart Tanner, Tye, Caitlyn and Jerry. My brother Don was a lucky man to have the love of all of you. Those of us in Calgary, your nieces Cindy Owen, Bonnie Kraft and Mandy Dale as well as their children Courtney and Brittney Kraft, Connor and Shae Owen, and Molly-Raine Dale and their husbands Preston, Ed and Tim as well as Andy who always felt Don was his brother (not just brother in law) will sorely miss Uncle Don. I wish we had been able to spend more time together over the years but will always treasure the love and memory of my Big Brother. Love to you all. Penni
Dear Dorene and Family, Tony and I are very saddened to hear of Don's early passing. He was a wonderful man and well respected by friends and business acquaintances. We have fond memories of our times together. His dry sense of humour will be a cherished memory. He had a very giving heart and we were blessed by his friendship. Reading the many words of sympathy makes it obvious that he was a mentor to many. He's left a lasting legacy that your family can be proud of. Please know that we are thinking of you during this difficult time. Love Tony and Marjorie
My sincere condolences - I played hockey with Don - great friend - great memories
Dorene and family, we were shocked and saddened to hear of Don,s passing. I knew Don for many years through his work at Degelman Industries. Don and I also patrolled the blue line together when we played hockey for the Bruins. We played well together as we always seemed to know where the other guy was going to be. Please accept our sincere condolences and sympathies at this sad time. Cherish and remember all of the good times you had together. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. Mervin and Debbie Weiss, Regina

Dear Dorene and family. Ethia and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Don's passing. Don and I shared some challenging and exciting times during our time at Degelman Industries. Without his commitment and unswerving efforts there would have been a much less successful result. I look back with many fond memories of those times. We are thinking of you all with deepest sympathy. Norm & Ethia.
